AGAPE '07 CAMP - RESTORATION + !!!

Camp was just awesome! much much more than i expected. the theme of the camp was 'rebuilding the walls' and we were learning from the book of Nehemiah. i went to camp expecting to restore my life back to Christ, restore n form new relationships with people and just to grow deeper into His love. but i got much much MUCH more than that.

Even on the very first night, God's presence was so real to me. And when we were given a chance to come before Him to rebuild broken walls of our lives, i just knew i had to take that opportunity. to rebuild my walls of humility, forgiveness, worth/identity in Christ, and purity. Hocks kept reminding us that we were all worthy of coming to worship at His feet. all we had to do was repent of our sins. Jesus's blood was shed on the cross for us so that we could come back to God. After allowing God to rebuild the walls of my life that was broken, i felt so free. It was as if the shackles that bounded my hands n feet were broken, knowing that I was once again worthy to worship him with liberty. And it was just so refreshing to be able to do that after such a long long time.

From that night onwards, it just got better and better. And i was just telling jon and danson the other day..that u know what, i've been to so many camps before this but none of them ever stayed with me for long. the fire was there for the duration of the camp. but after that, it just died down. but i believe that this camp has really impacted me in more ways than one. and frankly, i just cant wait to see what awesome things God has in store for me. yes, i will run this race till the finish line =)

apart from that, games were hilariously awesome as well...especially the fashion show. i saw sides of ppl that i never thought existed. yes, 'joni'.. you =) i'm so proud of u. and don't think we'll let u off that easily. oh yea, it's gonna last for a reallllyyy long time. hahah.

i was games leader for my team (Sappers!), the blue team! against Jack - Brickies, Jess - Truckies and my bro - Hard Hats (uh huh..sibling rivalry!!) lol. Sappers are basically demolition engineers.

Our team cheer:
"S-A-P-P-E-R-S! THAT'S THE WAY WE SPELL SUCCESS!"

Our team phrase:
"BOOMTASTIC!"

LOL. It was a blast! and it didnt matter who won =P rite..? hahahha. i reckon matt n nat did a pretty good job with the games. and we got to see vicious sides of ppl..lotsa scratching n bruising. ahhaha.

meal times were full of lame, annoying n hair pulling riddles. lol. i think it started off with "whose house?", then the rest just started coming in. i know how to spin the spoon! lol. n i learnt a new "punching ppl" game. muahahahahha. started off when jess began punching me for no particular reason at all everytime i looked at her fingers. lol. after that, it was a series of me trying to punch everyone, especially kenny, jeremy, alvin and 'andi'. muahahaha. sorry for all the rose bruises, fabian. u did it for union!...tho i dont really know y u had to... lol.

this has definitely been one of the best experiences in my life and i wish everyone could have been there to experience the real-ness of God. Jasmine prayed for me one night at camp and it really hit me..hard. She asked if i was willing to make God my lover for the rest of my life... 5 yrs from now, 10 yrs from now, when i'm married to a man i'm willing to spend the rest of my life with, when i become a mother, when i'm 80 yrs old... will I love Him and devote my life to Him as much as I do now? i haven't really thought about that till then. I made that my prayer. I guess when i'm old and wrinkly, we'll see...

feels so good to let this all out =) it's so great to be in the presence of God! He truly is my Saviour King!

and yes jess, i'm going to live life as a cheery flame for God! =)

Cheerios, everyone!

Absolutely a good posting you made about camp. I am happy and proud of you that this Restoration Plus camp had given a huge impacted your life so greatly and that you can approach God in a whole new improved level. *Pats shoulder* Keep the fire burning for God even after camp. I too need to keep my fire burning as I know the fire could die down a little as time goes by. Take an example, if a camp fire is about to die, what do we do? We just need to throw in more firewood in order to keep our fire burning. Agree?
Well done in serving Angeline Tan’s food team during meals and cleaning up the mess. *2 thumbs up*
Expand more when we meet :)
